We are not a First Aid organisation and over half of our members are NHS professional staff who volunteer for Medix in their spare time. Our lay members are trained to a much higher level than basic First Aid and undergo regular ongoing training and assessment.

We can provide fully equipped ambulances but it is interesting to note that less than 3% of our casualties require hospital transfer. This is because our professional staff are able to assess and treat on site. Organisers who use our services find that most of their customers are treated on site and can continue to enjoy the event without the drama of hospital transfer. This appears to lessen the perception that the injury was serious.

We cover any event from small community events to large music festivals and outdoor public events.

We pride ourselves on our ability to provide up to date researched based pre-hospital care.
